Dom-Hotel Cologne

Full restoration of the Dom-Hotel

The new, impressive "Dom-Carré" complex is located in the direct vicinity of the World Heritage Site Cologne Cathedral. It includes the Dom-Hotel on Roncalliplatz square, as well as other areas in the direction of Wallrafplatz square and Strasse am Hof. The existing Dom-Hotel will be completely gutted and restored.

The unusual aspect of this building measure is the fact that the listed façade and the historic stairwell must be retained and have therefore been secured with an extremely complex scaffolding construction. The Dom-Hotel interior will then be rebuilt and restored. An exclusive bar, naturally with views of the cathedral, will also be added on top of the Dom-Hotel roof.

The building complex also includes the Blau-Gold-Haus, which will continue to be used as previously. The retail units and shops already established in this building will be retained and also completely refurbished within the scope of the building measures.
